Get Paid To (GPT) sites, often referred to as survey sites, have a very high earning potential, if you are willing to put in the work.

Due to Do Not Call laws, advertisers had to find a new way to get exposure for their products and services. This is where GPT sites come in. Members are paid to look at ads.

You never have to pay for anything. You can click "Skip" or "No Thanks" to navigate through the series of ads.

Here are some general tips for people who are brand new to GPT sites:

• You never have to spend money! Simply click "no thanks" or "skip" or "pass" to continue through the "survey"
• Stick to the main page. You may get many pop ups, just close them and stick to the original page, or you will get lost in a maze of ads.
• Create a new email address to keep unwanted emails out of your main email account.
• Use online voicemail/call forwarding services like k7.net so you don't get telemarketer calls on your personal line. Simply sign up through one of these sites to get an online number.
• If you choose to complete trial offers, only do ones you are genuinely interested in. Read ALL fine print.

Freelance Writing

My main source of income is writing for freelance sites.

I currently write for Demand Studios. In the past I have worked for Textbroker.

Demand Studios requires applicants to submit a resume and writing sample. They require writers to exhibit proficient writing skills, including correct use of grammar and mechanics. The assignment available for Demand Studios writers are generally informative articles, such as "How To" guides.

Suite 101 is a great site for creating a portfolio of articles for passive income. You will earn money on your articles for a lifetime, so it is worth the initial investment in time. They also provide training, so writers of all skill levels can find success there. This is the link to apply.


Textbroker is a great site for beginner writers. The pay scale is very small compared to Demand Studios, but it is valuable both as an extra source of money, and as a learning tool for new writers.

CloudCrowd and MTurk

Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk)
This crowd-sourcing program allows anyone to complete tasks such as transcription, writing assignments, and other miscellaneous tasks for money. Pay is through direct deposit, or Amazon Gift Certificates.

Similar to MTurk, CloudCrowd hosts tasks, such as data entry and rewriting badly translated text for pay.

The site operates through facebook, so you must be a member of facebook to work for them. Pay is daily through Paypal.

SwagBucks

SwagBucks is the absolute easiest way to earn free stuff online. All you do is use their search engine when you're doing your online searching. Every time you search, you could win SwagBucks.

You can also earn SwagBucks by recycling old cell phones, games, and inviting your friends to use the site.

SwagBucks can be redeemed for cash, gift cards, or awesome prizes. I personally redeem SwagBucks for Paypal gift cards ($5) and Amazon Gift Cards.

KGB (Knowledge Generation Bureau) is a website that allows you to use your mental muscles. Questions are submitted by customers (i.e. "What is the weather like in LA?" or "What is the world's largest pizza?") through text messages. You simply research the answer and respond in a timely manner. You receive payment for each question you answer.

KGB is always looking for new agents. You must pass a 7-part timed test. You can take the test as many times as you need to pass. After passing the test, you must complete training before you get started working.

Pay for KGB is once monthly through direct deposit, although payment options may change in the future.

Freebies and Sweepstakes

These sites are just for fun.
